Mary P. (Peck) Weber


Mary P. Weber, 82, of Rome, passed away December 5, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Mary was born May 25, 1935 in Vernon Center. She was the daughter of John F. and Mary E. Peck. She graduated from VVS High School. On June 29, 1957 she was united in marriage to William F. Weber.

Mary raised her family of five children and then worked in the family business with her husband, Weber’s Wallpaper and Paint store until it closed in 1995. Mary was very active at St. Mary’s Church Altar Rosary Society and Bingo, and later St. Mary’s/St. Peter’s Altar Rosary Society. Mary loved Sunday dinners with her family and the Holidays. Mary was also known for her famous chocolate chip cookies.

Mary is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and George Dorn of Rome; three sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert and Kathy Weber of Oneida, Kenneth and Margaret Ann Weber of Rome, Richard Weber of Rome, Michelle Barlow of Albany; special family friend Robin Garrett; ten grandchildren, Kristen (Jeff) Tallarino, Kelly Dorn, Lucas, Travis, Justin, Nicholas, Annmarie (Travis) Bator, Brandon, Morgan and Mackenzie Weber; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Gabriella Tallarino. She was predeceased by her husband William F. Weber; a son former Oneida County Assistant District Attorney, William M. Weber; a sister Phyllis A. Hussey; and a brother John Peck.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM at St. Peter’s Church with the Rev. Philip Hearn officiating. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Utica. Family and friends are invited to call at the church prior to mass from 8:30-10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care. 

Mary’s family would like to especially thank Father Hearn and Sister Rosaire and all that visited Mary during her last days.
