Marquis Magyar scored a team-high 20 points, Shane Moorehead had 19 points and Nolan Alexander added 17 points as the Holland Patent boys junior varsity basketball team defeated visiting Clinton 74-58 on Monday.
HP finished the season with an 11-9 record.
Redskins wins finale
In another boys JV basketball game, Oriskany beat Morrisville-Eaton, 66-43, to finish the season with a 16-1 record.
Gianni Falatico and Steven Armstrong both scored 12 points each for the Redskins.
Oriskany modified sweeps
In a boys modified basketball action, both of the Oriskany teams defeated Westmoreland at home.
The Oriskany maroon team won, 41-20, led by Crispin Velarde and Shaun Williamson with 12 points each.
The Oriskany white squad defeated the Westmoreland green team, 45-31. Jason Reid led the Redskins with 14 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots.
Westmoreland was led by Josh Suber’s 10 points and Mitchell Schram’s eight points.
Oriskany is 4-3 and Westmoreland dropped to 5-2.
Oriskany girls take pair
In girls modified basketball action, both Oriskany teams earned victories over host Westmoreland.
The Maroon team won 26-10 behind Jordyn Coleman’s 10 points. Juliet Tagliaferri scored eight points and May Melvin finished with six. Westmoreland’s Sabrina Coyne finished with four points.
The Oriskany white squad defeated Westmoreland, 38-24, after Ashley Reid and Ashley Burnop each scored 12 points for the Redskins.
Sam Testa led the Bulldogs with 10 points.
