Holly L. MacFarland, 72, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Taberg, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at home.
She was born on September 23, 1945 in Rome, NY a daughter of Lynn and Sonia MacFarland and was a 1963 graduate of Camden Central School, Camden, NY.
For the past 18 years, Holly was employed by the Rampart Casino, Summerlin, NV, as an Entertainment Coordinator. Prior to moving to Las Vegas, she worked for Turning Stone Casino, Rome Daily Sentinel, Montgomery Ward, Goldberg’s Department Store and Mohawk Airlines as a flight attendant.
Surviving are three brothers: Terry (Linda) MacFarland, Melbourne, FL; Bruce MacFarland, McConnellsville, NY; and James (Ellen) MacFarland, Watertown, NY. Four sisters: Nancy (Michael) McNutt, Rome, NY; Janet (Rich) Waterman, Camden, NY; Jill Rieglar, Rome, NY; and Crystal (Frank) Walters, McConnellsville, NY. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and her dog, Cookie. Holly was predeceased by her twin brother, parents and brother-in-law, William Rieglar.
The family wishes to recognize Gina Lombardi, sincere friend, co-worker and roommate for her tireless efforts to provide continuous comfort and care to allow Holly to remain at home. A sincere thank you to friends Tim and Renee Tieman for their compassionate assistance and care during her illness. A special thank you to the Rampart Casino management, co-workers and staff for their caring understanding and assistance during her illness.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of family.
