Grant “Jojo” Wiedemann, II passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born February 27, 1960 in Dansville, New York the son of Grant J. and Carolyn M. Dale Wiedemann.
Grant attended Holland Patent Central School and enjoyed working on the dairy farm during his childhood days. He was a member of Lee Center Volunteer Fire Department during the early 1980’s and was also a Boy Scout leader for Troop # 44 of Lee Center from 1994-2000. He worked many years in construction for B.R. Dewitt, D&H Blacktop and later Wayne Paving.
Grant is survived by his first wife Kelley J. Wiedemann and their two children, Grant J. Wiedemann III, spouse Megan; and daughter Diedre D. Wiedemann-Fidell, spouse Rich. Also surviving is his current wife Julie A. Wiedemann and their daughter Tiana R. Wiedemann. Grant was the oldest of his many brothers and sisters, Genevieve Barton, Gary Wiedemann, Robin Bender, Tracy Archer, Heidi Wiedemann, Paul Cole and Angel Pitoniak. Grant is also survived by his 7 grandchildren, 4 step children and many step grandchildren.
Grant enjoyed his free time hunting, fishing and camping. Along side him were a couple of his closest friends Skeeter and Sam. “57 years young, may you dance above the stars!!”
Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Friday at Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home For Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court Street, Rome. Spring burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Home For Funerals Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
