Foothills Rural Community Ministry sets hours for March

HOLLAND PATENT — Foothills Food Pantry is seeking donations of garden seeds to be distributed to pantry clients for spring garden planting.

The organization started this effort last year on a small scale. Several clients reported they were proud of their efforts and provided pictures, and even shared some of their surplus results with the pantry for distribution.

Foothills Rural Community Ministry has set its hours for the month of March. These hours will also apply to Sarah’s Pet Pantry and the Country Corner Thrift Shop, programs offered by Foothills Rural Community Ministry are located at the Presbyterian Church.

The programs will offer their services from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 7. The Country Corner Thrift Store is not open on the Wednesday dates. The services will also be available on the first three Saturdays in March, which include March 3, 10, 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ministry will be open on the normal fourth Thursday in March, which falls on March 22.

The Country Corner Thrift Store, which is open to the public, offers good used clothing and small household items at very reasonable prices. Bag sales will be available the first and third Saturdays in March. Bags containing 20 items or less will sell for $4.

The proceeds from our Thrift Store are used to support the food pantry. Donated items may be dropped off on any day we are open or on Monday and Thursday each week during office hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Foothills is always in need of non-perishable food items. Donations from individuals or food drives sponsored by community groups or organizations are appreciated.
