“Upon arrival, it was fully involved,” Kahl described.

Kahl said firefighters used a surround and drown technique on the two-story wood structure.
He said the flames were under control in about an hour. Crews remained on the scene dousing hot spots until about 10 a.m.
The residence was heavily damaged by the fire, the fire chief added.
Kahl said no one was injured and all of the pets got out unharmed. He said the property is insured. The chief said there were no difficulties fighting the fire, and the deep snows around the residence were not a hindrance.
“We’re used to the cold and we’re used to the snow,” he
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the chief said.
