The City of Rome Tuesday donated enough toys and presents to give Christmas to approximately 40 area children.
The City of Rome and the Salvation Army Rome partnered this holiday season by offering Angel Tags in the lobby of City Hall.
Angel Tags featured information on local children about their clothing sizes and what they would like to receive for Christmas this year.
The children assisted were between the ages of 5 months and 13 years old.
Many of the people who participated and purchased gifts were city hall employees representing the various departments.
“After the success of this year the city plans to continue the partnership with the Salvation Army in years to come,” according to the city announcement.
