Charles S. Gage, 74, of Barneveld, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at his daughter’s home in Indiana. He was born in South Trenton on February 23, 1944, the son of the late George and Mildred Hobin Gage. On August 1, 1970, he married Beulah M. Brodock. She passed away on March 15, 2017.
Charles worked as a butcher for Utica Veal and Newport Meat Packing before going on to own and operate his own farm with his wife.
Charles is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Donald Kulczar of Argos, IN; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Tonya Gage of Watertown; a sister, Evelyn Clemons of Lowville; eleven grandchildren, Derek (Jamie), Ashley (Brandon), Allison, Jonathon, Michael, Lexy, Taylor, Amanda, Brian, Joseph and Connor; three great-grandchildren, Dalton, Denim and Sophie; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St. Rome, on Thursday from 4-6 p.m. Graveside services at Evergreen Cemetery in Lee will take place in the spring.
