Carol Ann (Tritsch) Cadrette

Carol Ann Cadrette, age 80, of Taberg, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2018, at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center.

She was born July 22, 1938, in Rome, a daughter of the late Frank M. and Bernice O. Whipple Tritsch, and was a member of the Saint Aloysius Academy class of 1956. Carol was united in marriage to Herman “Herky” Cadrette on January 10, 1956, in Rome. She was employed by the NYSDSO in Rome for many years until her retirement in 1993. She was a member of St. Peter’s Church.

Carol’s life revolved around her family. She was always a source of love and guidance for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Even during her illness and treatment, Carol always put the concerns of her family ahead of her own.

Carol is survived by her husband, Herman; a daughter, Donna Needham of Taberg; three sons and a daughter in law, Danny and Gina Cadrette of Rome, Timothy Cadrette of Brentwood, CA, and David Cadrette of Buckeye, AZ; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Jaime, Ryan, Tiffany, Brandon, Cierra, Allison, Andre and Emma; and 7 great grandchildren, Anthony, Allison, Hugh Patrick, Isaiah, William, Darcy and Alexander. She was predeceased by two sisters, Beulah Jean Santana and Bernice “Peggy” Skidmore.

The family sincerely thanks Dr. Butala and his staff, and the staff of the Oncology Floor at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center, for their care, compassion and friendship extended to Carol.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 8:15 a.m. from the Barry funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Philip A. Hearn, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Peter’s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
