Bellamy Community Awards names master of ceremonies


Lenny Giardino will be the master of ceremonies for the sixth annual Francis J. Bellamy Community Awards Breakfast to be held at 8 on Aug. 28, at The Beeches, the awards committee has announced.

Giardino, of Taberg, is vice president of educational services for Upstate Cerebral Palsy. He is a member of the Bellamy Awards Committee.

Community awards will be presented at the event to:

• Rome Fire Chief Ronald
Brement; and

• The Rome Elks Lodge.

• Erin Hamlin, the Olympic bronze medalist from Remsen, will receive the community organization’s first Bellamy Career Achievement Award. to Olympic bronze medalist Erin Hamlin of Remsen.

Tickets for the breakfast are $25 per person and are available at the following locations:

• The Rome Area Chamber of Commerce, 139 W. Dominick St.;

• Jervis Public Library, 613 N. Washington St.;

• Teddy’s Restaurant, 851 Black River Blvd.; or
