African American History Month program at RFA Sunday


The Afro-American Heritage Association will hold its 40th Annual African American History Month program on Sunday, Feb. 11, at 2:30 p.m. at Rome Free Academy, 95 Dart Circle.

The event is free. The national Black History Month theme is “African Americans in Times of War.”

Sam Rowser, executive director of administration for the On Point Program at Syracuse University, will be the guest speaker, the association announced.

Presentations will be given by members of the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, and
students from Rome Free Academy.
