Westmoreland girls post volleyball victory over HP

Janessa Rubino led the Westmoreland girls volleyball team with six aces, four kills, 11 assists and two digs in a 3-1 victory over Holland Patent in a Center State Conference match on Monday night.

Set scores were 25-8, 25-21, 25-9 and 25-11, with Holland Patent winning the second set.

Brooke Taverne had seven digs, two blocks, four kills and five aces in the win for the Bulldogs and Jenna Pastorella had two aces, three kills, 11 assists and seven digs in the win for Westmoreland.

Emily Boulerice had eight digs for the Golden Knights.

Westmoreland is 3-0 on the season while Holland Patent falls to 0-3.

Oneida wins TVL match

In a girls Tri-Valley League volleyball match, Oneida defeated New Hartford, 3-1.

Set scores were 25-22, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-15, with the Indians dropping the first set.

Schuyler Vecchiano had 24 assists in the win for Oneida, Julia Pickard had 11 kills and three blocks and Zoey Fox had 11 assists.

Black Knights swept

In another TVL volleyball match, Rome Free Academy was swept by Whitesboro, 3-0.

Set scores were 25-18, 25-14 and 25-9.

Jetsy Castillo had five assists and Giannah Guiliano had five digs for RFA in the loss.

Wildcats get CSC victory

Arielle Kranbuhl scored a game-high 11 points for the Adirondack girls basketball team in its 43-33 win over CSC foe Little Falls.

Clinton routs Westmoreland

In another girls CSC girls basketball game, Clinton defeated Westmoreland, 46-29.

Gianna Trunfio led the Warriors with a game-high 15 points.

Julia Muller led Westmoreland with a team-high 11 points.
