Youth bowling sign-ups at CAC in Sherrill

SHERRILL — Sign-ups for recreational youth bowling leagues at the Sherrill Community Activity Center, 130 E. Hamilton Ave., will take place 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18 and Thursday, Sept. 20 at the center.

There is a league for children in grades 3-6. They will take place at 4 p.m. on Thursdays Oct. 4-March 2. There is also a league for for children in all grades on Saturday mornings Oct. 6-March 23.

There are registration and weekly bowling fees.

Roller derby boot camp in Oneida

ONEIDA — Ladies Death and Derby Society, a women’s flat track roller derby team from Madison County, will host its annual boot camp, beginning with an informational session at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Oneida Rec Center, 217 Cedar St.

Bootcamp continues 9-11 a.m. every Sunday through Nov. 18. No experience necessary. Gear is provided but bring your own mouth guard. The cost is $30.
