Several of this years matches will also be played at the Rochester Curling Club.
Since 1890, the bonspiel has alternated between the United States and Canada and this will be the 26th time that the Utica Curling Club has hosted. Each country will enter 20 teams and play four matches, two friendlies and two competitive matches. The outcome is determined by the total number of stones scored by each side in both of the competitive matches.
The Canadians lead the all-time series, 91-31, but the U.S. has been victorious four of the last seven years, with three wins coming in Montreal.
