Utica Curling Club to host Mitchell Bonspiel
WHITESTOWN — The Utica Curling Club is set to host the 133rd Mitchell Bonspiel beginning today through Sunday. The invitational includes 36 teams for the United States and Canada.
The club encourages the public to view the semifinals and finals at the UCC, 8300 Clark Mills Road, Whitestown, on Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
Boilermaker accepting charity bib applications
UTICA — The Boilermaker Road Race is now accepting applications from local non-profit organizations seeking to be a part of the 2018 Boilermaker Charity Bib Program. Since the program’s inception in 2013, the Charity Bib Program has generated over $500,000 for local charitable causes with 100 percent of the proceeds raised going back to the participating organizations.
Applications will only be accepted through Feb. 16. Forms can be found online at boilermaker.com and can be submitted via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. All participants will be selected and notified by March 1. The Boilermaker is seeking partners whose missions align with the Boilermaker’s goal of inspiring healthy living.
