Sestito brothers continue to crack scoring column

Rome brothers Tim and Tom Sestito have made a dent in the scoring column for their pro hockey clubs this season.

Older brother Tim has appeared in 40 games with Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League, tallying five goals and four assists. He’s also posted 55 penalty minutes.

Tim’s last goal was a game-winning overtime goal on Dec. 27 to lift Riga 3-2 over Jokerit. Riga is last in the West Conference of the KHL with a 9-28 record for 42 points.

Younger brother Tom has appeared in 11 games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, tallying four goals and three assists. He also has a plus-7 rating and 23 penalty minutes.

Tom recorded a two-point night with a goal and an assist in a 5-4 victory over the Binghamton Senators on Saturday.

The Penguins are first in the Atlantic Division with a 25-7-3 record for 53 points.
