Sestito back on AHL ice for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

Rome native and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins hockey player Tom Sestito has registered one assist since returning from injury in the Penguins’ 6-3 win over Rockford on Feb. 23.

On the season, Sestito has played in 21 games and registering eight points, scoring three goals and five assists and 58 penalty minutes.

Sestito missed a little more than two months worth of action due to a lower-body injury sustained in mid-December. He made his return to the ice on Feb. 23 where he registered an assist.

For his career, Sestito has 351 American Hockey League games, scoring 62 goals and assisting on 89 more for a total of 151 points. Sestito has 1,170 career penalty minutes.
