Oriskany moves to 13-1 in league

Ricky Phelps’ triple-double led the Oriskany boys basketball team to a 62-53 Center State Conference Division IV home victory over Old Forge on Thursday night.

It was the 12th win in a row for the Redskins and with the victory, they have clinched the CSC-IV league title.

Phelps scored a team-high 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds and dished out 10 assists for the winners.

Donovan Williams added 15 points and Brandon Reid finished with 11 points for Oriskany.

Williams also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists for the Redskins.

Mykal Warcup finished with nine points coming off of three three-pointers.

The Redskins led at halftime, 35-28.

Oriskany is 17-2 overall an 13-1 in league play.

The Redskins return to action on Monday night as they travel to Morrisville-Eaton for their regular season finale. Tip-off is scheduled for 7.

Clinton earns league win

In a CSC-I matchup, Clinton defeated visiting Adirondack, 57-46.

Matt Hobika scored a team-high 18 points.

Tanner Deveans added 13 points and Josh Wilcox chipped in 13 points for the Warriors in the win.

Hobika knocked down three threes for the Warriors.

Andrew Fauvelle scored a game-high 20 points with four three-pointers for the Wildcats.

Clinton is 10-8 on the season and 5-2 in the CSC-I and hosts West Canada Valley in a CSC crossover contest on Saturday at 1.

Adirondack falls to 4-15 overall and 1-6 in the CSC-I.

The Wildcats are back on the floor on Monday night as they host Sherburne-Earlville at 7:30 in another CSC-I contest.
