Oneida sweeps softball twin bill against Notre Dame
The Oneida softball squad swept a Tri-Valley League doubleheader from Notre Dame on Saturday in Oneida.
The Indians won the first game 9-2 and took the second contest 12-1.
Junior Kyra Shlotzhauer was the winning pitcher in both games for Oneida.
Brianna Laureti and Alyssa Gienger had three hits apiece in the first contest to lead the Indians, while Shlotzhauer, Sydney Lusher and Abigail Carroll added two RBIs each and Laureti scored three runs
Lusher and Gienger tallied two hits apiece in the second game for Oneida, while Kaylin Curro drove in three runs and Carroll scored three runs.
In other softball action. Clinton fell to visiting Little Falls 19-1 in a Center State Conference game.
Danielle Casab took the loss on the mound for the Warriors, who are 1-3 overall and 1-1 in the league.
Abigail King also pitched for Clinton.
Black Knights fall
The Rome Free Academy boys lacrosse squad lost 16-11 at Skaneateles.
Justin Hoke led the Black Knights with five goals and one assist.
Noah Hammon and Tyler Baker had three goals each.
Mike Walker made nine saves in net for RFA.
