Holland Patent posts volleyball win over Remsen
The Holland Patent girls volleyball team defeated Remsen, 3-1, in a Center State Conference matchup on Wednesday night.
Set scores were 25-20, 25-16, 15-17 and 25-18, with Remsen winning the first set.
For Holland Patent, Aryn Homer had five aces, five kills and five digs. Kelsy Buck had seven aces and two kills while Nina Dorsino had three aces and eight assists.
Leading the way for the Rams was Madelyn McCormack with eight kills and six digs.
Christa Fransman had 11 assists for Remsen in the loss.
Shutout for Westmoreland
In another girls CSC volleyball match, Westmoreland defeated Waterville, 3-0 .
Set scores were 25-6, 25-13 and 25-7.
Jenna Pastorella led the way for the Bulldogs, recording two aces, three kills, 16 assists and two digs. Brooke Taverne had seven digs, two blocks and five kills for Westmoreland in the win. Ally Golden had two assists and 15 kills while Janessa Rubino had four kills and five assists.
Westmoreland improves to 4-0 on the season.
Red Devils swept
In a Tri-Valley League volleyball match, Whitesboro swept Vernon-Verona-Sherrill, 3-0.
Set scores were 25-15, 25-21 and 25-21.
Bailee Baker had nine assists and three digs for the Red Devils and KristiAnn Frank had five assists and 14 digs. Kailey Roberts had four kills and 12 digs for VVS in the loss.
VVS falls to 0-3 on the season.
