UTICA — The Vancouver Canucks recalled high-scoring forward Reid Boucher from the Utica Comets on Thursday.

It was the second major call-up in two days by the parent Canucks, who on Wednesday signed and recalled forward Darren Archibald from their top AHL farm club. Archibald was the Comets’ leading scorer last season.

Boucher leads the Comets in goals scored this season with 22 and in points with 41 through 38 games this year.

Boucher leads the team in shots with 145 and is tied for the team-lead in power play goals with seven.

Boucher has skated in three NHL games this season with the Canucks.

The Comets host Laval tonight at 7 at the Utica Memorial Auditorium.
