Beer pitches Holland Patent to CSC win over Adirondack

Jake Beer improved to 4-0 on the season as he pitched Holland Patent to a 3-2 Center State Conference Division I baseball victory over rival Adirondack on Wednesday.

Beer went 6 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on two hits while walking four and striking out six.

Offensively, Nick Palmer doubled for the Golden Knights and had a RBI and Connor Stalker also had a RBI. The Golden Knights are 10-3 overall and 9-2 in the CSC Division I. Adirondack drops to 11-3 overall.

Remsen picks up CSC-IV win

Griffin Murray doubled and picked up the victory on the mound as Remsen defeated New York Mills, 9-1, in a CSC Division IV contest.

Home loss for Westmoreland

Despite a late comeback attempt, Westmoreland fell 15-8 to CSC-III foe West Canada Valley at home.

The Bulldogs scored five runs in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Justin Matteson and Josh Drake had two RBIs for Westmoreland in the loss.

Dan Hurley fell to 0-4 on the mound this season.

Westmoreland is 8-7 overall, 6-4 in the CSC Division III. Westmoreland will travel to Dolgeville this afternoon for a 4:30 p.m. contest.
