Adirondack loses high-scoring PGCBL contest

The Adirondack Trail Blazers couldn’t get it done in 10 innings and fell 19-15 to the Oneonta Outlaws in Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League action on Sunday at the Robert Smith Sports Complex.

Michael Delease took the loss for the Trail Blazers, giving up seven runs on eight hits in 4 1/3 innings.

At the plate, Matt Codispoti had three RBIs, while John Michael Boswell had a double, a triple and two RBIs. Bay McIntosh had two doubles.

On Saturday, the Trail Blazers swept a doubleheader against the Utica Blue Soxs, winning 5-4 and 5-1 at Donovan Stadium at Murnane Field.

In the first game, Zac Bygum got the win, going lights out in 3 1/3 innings. Codispoti and Robert Zurawski both doubled and Chuck Hooker drove in two runs.

In the second victory, Logan Walters went 2 2/3 innings and struck out two to preserve the win.

At the dish, Joe Simone doubled and Jordan Torrento had two RBIs.

Adirondack returns to action on Wednesday when they host the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs at the Robert Smith Sports Complex. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
