Pink Tie Gala slated for Oct. 13
WHITESBORO — The Believe 271 Foundation and the Oneida County Volunteer Firemen’s Association will host the second annual Pink Tie Gala on Saturday, Oct. 13.
The semi-formal Gala will be held at Hart’s Hill Inn on Clinton Street in Whitesboro. Advance sale tickets are $60, with a cost of $70 at the door. Tables for eight can be reserved in advance for $480.
“It brings a touch of class to what we’re doing, and it gives everyone who supports us a night out with their husband, wife or significant other,” said Brian Palmer, vice president and co-founder of the Believe 271 Foundation.
“It’s a great event and it was a lot of fun last year.”
The Pink Tie Gala is a semi-formal firemen’s ball to raise money for Believe 271 and local fire departments, including the OCVFA’s scholarship fund and medical equipment for the Mohawk Valley Health System.
The event starts with an open bar from 6 to 7 p.m., following by a buffet-style dinner with carving stations. Entertainment will be provided by DVD the Band.
Firefighters are encouraged to wear their Class A dress uniforms.
“We’re anticipating another sellout this year,” Palmer stated. Nearly 400 people attended the gala last year. “Tables are going fast.”
