Helping nonprofits prepare successful applications for grant funding

A new professional service to assist health, human service and community agencies in upstate New York prepare successful grant-funded proposals has been established as Gain the Advantage.

Bruce A. Brodsky is founder and lead grant writer coach, trainer and application proposal reviewer for Gain the Advantage. He has 40+ years in management, administration, and as a trainer within the not-for-profit sector.

The mission of Gain the Advantage is to empower grant writers and their agencies to attract and prepare successful grant-funded applications supporting vital human services and community benefit programs. Gain the Advantage will provide grant writer coaching, training, and support services as well as application proposal review and improvement feedback.

The primary benefit of engaging Gain the Advantage is having one-on-one and small-group support for nonprofit grant writers and proposal teams.

The process will maximize current communications technology, supplemented by a wide-ranging library of beneficial resources. 

Brodsky participated in a great many community groups as an organization founder, officer or board member, and as a local elected official. His professional experience includes participation in 80+ rounds of federal and foundation grant competition peer reviews, including over 20 as panel chair.
