Flag Day program held in Holland Patent

The Holland Patent Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Leon R. Roberts Post 161 American Legion of Holland Patent presented a Flag Day program for grades 3-5 at the Holland Patent Elementary School.

The students learned how to use sign language taught by Sheila Gaglione, a specialist from Syracuse. They also learned how to care for and hang a flag and properly retire a flag that is old or damaged.

The NSDAR and the American Legion Auxiliary presented a new book for both Holland Patent Elementary and General William Floyd Elementary School
Libraries.
