Trump, Flag Day rally to be held in Rome on Thursday
An event to honor Flag Day and show support for President Donald J. Trump is being planned by a group of area residents.
The group of local President Donald J. Trump supporters have announced they will hold a march of support and in honor of American values on Flag Day — which is also the president’s birthday — beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, around Fort Stanwix National Monument in Rome.
Participants are asked to gather at the corner of West Liberty and North James streets at 5 p.m. They will then march on the public sidewalks around Fort Stanwix until 6 p.m. Event organizers say the march is open to “everyone who wants to continue making America great again.” Participants are asked to bring their own signs in support of President Trump along with American Flags to carry.
