Rome Fire Dept. to hold info session on exam
The fire department will host an informational session in preparation for the upcoming Civil Service firefighter exam, department officials have announced.
The informational session will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at the Central Fire Station, 158 Black River Blvd., the announcement added.
The program will include information on what is required to become a Rome firefighter,
the firefighting career, the physical agility testing, the fire academy training and how to prepare for and take the exam, officials said.
The New York State Civil Service firefighter entrance exam is given in March of each year.
The session is open to the public, and no reservations are required.
