Retooling Rome seeks public input
There will be a public open house for the Retooling Rome for Smart Growth project including the draft Zoning Code and Zoning Map Monday, Jan. 22 through Friday, Jan. 26, each day from noon to 2 p.m., in the Common Council chambers at City Hall.
There will be an additional open house 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24, in the same location, according to an announcement by city officials.
“The goal of the update is to integrate smart growth principles into the zoning code, site plan and subdivision regulations, and supplemental development standards,” the city noted.
The draft zoning code and zoning map can be found online at www.romerises.com/zoning-updates/. This project is supported by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority’s Cleaner, Greener Communities
