The Planning Board will review a site plan for the Stewart’s Shops convenience store proposed at 506 Erie Blvd. W. when it meets next on Jan. 9. Its agenda also includes a previously tabled subdivision at Griffiss.

The five-member volunteer board will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Common Council chambers at City Hall.

New to the agenda is the Stewart’s Shops Corp. proposal to construct a 3,696 square foo convenience store located at 506 Erie Blvd. W.

The Zoning Board of Appeals, which will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 3, is also dealing with the project. Stewart’s needs a special use permit from that board.

In December, the Planning Board tabled the last three parts of a five-part proposal from the Oneida County Industrial Development Agency and the Griffiss Local Development Corp. for a three-lot subdivision located on the Griffiss Business and Technology Park.

The board still has to conduct a public hearing, an environmental review and final plat review.

This is a property swap between the Air Force and GLDC, officials said.
