Halloween event on Griffo Green

The City of Rome will host Halloween on the Griffo Green 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 outside City Hall. This is a family event.

Halloween on the Griffo Green will include a trick or treat street, food trucks, a costume contest, spooky sidewalk chalk, scary story time presented by Jervis Public Library, free cider and donuts and a witch station by Applebees. An outdoor movie will also be featured, Disney’s “Halloweentown” will have a show time of 6:30 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, event organizers said. In the event of rain, Halloween on the Griffo Green activities will take place at Rome’s YMCA in the gymnasium.
