Flashlight tours part of First Friday fun
As part of Parks Arts Culture and Tourism (PACT)’s First Friday series, the Rome Historical Society will offer flashlight tours of its museum on Friday, Oct. 6 at 6: 30 p.m. Participants will tour the museum’s darkened galleries, guided by flashlights, exploring the mysteries of Rome’s history. This event is family-friendly, and admission is free. Groups should bring their own flashlights.
The tour will feature the museum’s creepiest artifacts and stories, including those usually not shared with the public — including wreathes of human hair, old dolls, and an antique casket.
This event is part of PACT’s First Fridays series, which seeks of provide the public with downtown entertainment on the first Friday of each month. PACT was founded in 2017 through a partnership with Rome Historical Society’s Friends of the Fort and Fort Stanwix National Monument, and exists to encourage collaboration among community organizations with the purpose of collectively contributing to Rome’s cultural and economic vitality.
