City, Salvation Army seek ‘angels’

The City of Rome and the Salvation Army Rome are partnering this holiday season to help children in the area by offering Angel Tags.

These Angel Tags can be found on the Christmas tree in the lobby of City Hall.

Each tag features a child with information regarding age, clothing sizes and what they would like to receive for Christmas.

Children vary in ages from 5 months to 13 years old, according to a program announcement.

The Angel Tags and their corresponding gifts can be returned to the switchboard in the lobby of City Hall by Monday, Dec. 11. It is requested that the gifts are unwrapped so they can be inspected.

This is an opportunity to give back to the community this holiday season and participation would be appreciated, city officials noted.
