SYLVAN BEACH — The Sylvan Beach Union Chapel on Park Avenue will open Sunday, June 18, for the 130th season. Services are at 10 a.m.

Church officials noted their gratitude toward Chapel member Linda Palmer and the Stewart family for hosting the 2016 fundraiser which will make it possible for a new roof to be installed. “The Sylvan Beach and surrounding communities support of the Chapel is overwhelming with local musicians dedicating their talents to raise funds for the preservation of the Chapel, which was built in 1887 as a non denomination place of worship,” they said.
