The body of an adult woman was found in a vehicle parked at the Rite Aid store on West Chestnut Street early this morning and law enforcement is investigating.

“We’re investigating an unattended death,” explained Captain Timothy J. Bates this morning. Bates said the adult woman was found shortly before
7:30 a.m. in a vehicle in the parking lot at the intersection of West Chestnut Street and Black River Boulevard.

The cause of death is under investigation. Bates said the death is so far not suspicious in nature.

“We don’t believe so, at this point,” Bates stated.

An autopsy has been scheduled. Police did not release the identity of the woman.
