Something for everyone
The 129th Boonville-Oneida County Fair is history, but we’ll always have the memories of a fun-filled week on the classic Midway combined with the learning experiences in agriculture and husbandry that are highlights every year.
There was some rain; but there was lots of sun over this past weekend. So things even out.
Daily Sentinel reporters and photographers crisscrossed the fairground almost every day, talking to visitors from far and wide, even one originally from Lithuania. Albina Coonrod said the fair has a touch of rural life that she enjoys. “I’m a big city girl, but there’s something here that I enjoy,” she said. “I like the sights, and there are certain smells that make me think of outdoors.”
We always liked the food and grandstand shows too.
Every year there’s something for everyone at the Boonville-Oneida County Fair.
