Paul Della Contrada

Paul Della Contrada, 51, of West Palm Beach, Fla., died on Oct. 28, 2018, of congestive heart failure. His devoted wife, Francesca, and daughter, Anne, were at his side. 

A graduate of Rome Catholic Schools and Rome Free Academy, Paul is remembered as a loving and kind husband, father, son and brother. He also was a very good friend to many and stayed in close contact with classmates and coworkers over the years, particularly former classmate and good friend John Sweeney. 

Paul worked as a salesman, selling construction equipment, sporting apparel and wine products for many years. He won a business-pitch competition in Houston, Texas, for an espresso frothing device he planned to manufacture. 

In addition to his wife and daughter, Paul is survived by his mother, Rita; mother-in-law, Paquita Pallares; sisters, Marybeth (Steve) Crawford, Anne (Scott McKinnon) Lumbard and Jean (Andrew) Hess; brothers, John (Nancy) and David (Carla); and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, John, and brothers-in-law Jose Fabuel and Keith Lumbard. A private ceremony for family will be held in West Palm Beach.
