Patricia Ann (Henry) Vander Bogart

Patricia Ann Vander Bogart, 89, of Rome, NY, passed away at home on Sunday, October 7, 2018. She was born in Croghan, NY, on August 21, 1929, the daughter of the late Anslem and Minnie (Woolschager) Henry. She was a 1948 graduate of Immaculate Heart Academy in Watertown NY. On February 14, 1953, she became the loving wife of George Kent Vander Bogart, who passed away on September 5, 2004. 

Our beloved mother and dear friend to many is with her Lord and Savior. Like so many of her generation, she selflessly sacrificed much for family, but always with a loving heart. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

Patricia is survived by three daughters, Kyle Justice and her husband, Brian, of Rochester, NY, Heidi Golden of Rome, NY and Lisa Vander Bogart of Nottingham, MD; four sons, Kurt Vander Bogart and his wife, Debbie, of Florence, OR, Eric Vander Bogart of New Hartford, NY, Lance Vander Bogart and his wife, Pam, of Suwance, GA, and Peter Vander Bogart and his wife, Truda, of Canton, GA; four sisters, Helen Allan of Kenmore, NY, Barbara DeVito of Virginia, Joan Henry of Watertown, NY and Nancy Lawlor of Connecticut; a brother, Bill Henry of Oswego, NY; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Marc, Laura, Peter, Benjamin, Michael and Kubra; She was predeceased by: a sister, Doris Dillenback; and four brothers, Harold, Russ, Donald and Robert Henry. 

Patricia’s family would like to express their gratitude to CareGivers staff for their continual home care especially Kenisha for her loving support, Dr’s Garbooshian and Jacobs for their medical care, The Grand for their Adult Daycare Program staff, Visiting Nurses Association and Senior Network for their home services and visits. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, at 3 p.m. at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George St., Rome. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 1-3 p.m. Contributions in Patricia’s memory may be made to the animal sanctuary and education center: Spring Farm CARES, 3364 State Route 12, Clinton, NY 13326.
