Nancy L. Pozniak

BLOSSVALE — Nancy l. Pozniak, 58, Passer Road, died Thursday, January 4, 2018, surrounded by her family, in the comfort of her home.

Born in Syracuse, on April 12, 1959, she was the daughter of Earl and Marcelle Oot Taylor. A resident of Blossvale for the past twenty-one years, Nancy was a graduate of the East Syracuse-Minoa High School. She married James A. Pozniak in Rome on March 14, 1987.

Nancy was employed with Price Chopper Stores for forty-one years, and was the general merchandise manager, for twenty-five years, with the Rome store. She enjoyed camping in the Adirondacks, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, reading various autobiographies, spending time with her special companion, her dog, Duke, and meeting daily with her special family friend, Bill Little. Nancy was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving besides her husband, James, are her daughter, Christine Martinez of Syracuse; her two sons, Andrew J. “AJ” and his wife, Jeannette Pozniak of Canastota and Josh Rumph of Biddle, Montana; her two sisters, Sue Taylor and Terry Taylor, both of Minoa; her brother and his wife, Andrew and Amy Taylor of Minoa; nine grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Deborah White of Westmoreland and Patricia and Larry D’Amore of Rome and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Betsy Taylor.

Funeral services will be held privately from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida. Spring interment will be made in Verona Cemetery.
