Mark A. Brady

Mark A. “Mercury” Brady, 57, of Taberg, unexpectedly passed away in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

He was born on November 23, 1959 in Alliance, OH; a son of David and Joyce Fields Brady, Sr. He was a 1979 graduate of Waterville High School. Following high school Mark enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he faithfully served his country. He was currently employed at the family business, Pic and Pay Lumber Co. Mark was a proud member of the Edward L. Smith, Jr. Detachment of the Marine Corp League and was of the Baptist Faith. He was an avid deer hunter and loved to ride his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his parents, David and Joyce Brady of Rome; three daughters, Heather Brady and P.J. of Whitesboro, Cate Brady and Rob of Whitesboro, and Jillian and Matt Martingano of Albany; two grandchildren, Hannah and Davin; three brothers, David and Linda Brady, Jr. of Floyd, James Brady of New Hartford, and Thomas Brady of Utica; his girlfriend, Susie Hough of Taberg; niece, Parker Brady; nephew, Benjamin Brady; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Mr. Brady’s funeral service will be held on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the Gulla Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 209 N. Washington St., Rome (336-5700). Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring.
