Anthony (Tony) Madonia

Anthony (Tony) Madonia, 75, of Glendale Arizona, passed away on June 25, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Anthony was born in Rome, New York on December 29, 1942. He graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1960 and enlisted in the United States Army National Guard in 1961. His career as a mason transitioned to a realtor soon after moving to Arizona in 1974.

Anthony loved his family beyond measure and was proud to be an American. His hobbies involved a huge passion for animals. He raised a menagerie of birds throughout his life. His humor, reminiscent stories, and love for his family will be missed.

Anthony is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jean; daughters Pamela (Jeffery) Helmers, Francine (Russell) Wylie, Teri (Mike) Rogers; son, Nino (Joyce) Madonia; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers Frank Madonia, Dominick (Dawn) Madonia. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Pauline (Cianfrocco) Madonia; sisters Marian Little, Paula Jeanette; grandson Jeffrey Rogers.

Anthony will be buried with full military honors at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Phoenix, Arizona.
