Pair accused of stealing $4,000 in merchandise from Walmart
Two women are accused of stealing more than $4,000 worth of groceries and merchandise from Wal-Mart in north Utica.
Police said Sara Millron, 27, of Route 12B, Clinton, and Elizabeth Wust, 29, of Highway 80, Edmenston, were in the store for several hours in the very early morning on Friday, Oct. 18, and they loaded up multiple shopping carts worth of merchandise. Police said they were stopped when they tried to leave the store without paying.
Police said Millron and Wust stole 614 items, worth $4,092.71. Most of it was smaller, everyday items, and not the more expensive, high-end electronics, according to the authorities.
Millron and Wust are both charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny, a class D felony, police stated. They are scheduled to appear in City Court.
