Mohawk Valley Community College and WSKS/WSKU (aka KissFM 97.9/105.5) present the event at 8 p.m.Saturday in the Robert R. Jorgensen Athletic and Events Center on MVCC’s Utica campus.

"‘American Idol’ season 11 winner Phillip Phillips is one of the biggest musical acts today, and his debut album is amazing," says Bill Dustin, Events Administrator at MVCC. "He’s everywhere; just turn on your television his song ‘Home’ is on almost every commercial. We are thrilled to bring him to MVCC and the community."

Phillips’ debut single and coronation song, "Home," has made him an acoustic pop rock sensation, catapulting him to the top of the charts while showcasing the rich, raspy vocals and masterful guitar skills he became known for on "Idol." In addition to television commercials, "Home" has been used in movie trailers, TV shows, and in coverage of the Olympics.

Phillips’ first album, "The World from the Side of the Moon," was released in November, debuting at No. 4 in the Billboard 200.
