Gift basket event aids Elders

ONEIDA — The Oneida Nation Elders Program holds a public gift basket bonanza and bake sale from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Ray Elm Children and Elders Center, 5000 Skenondoa Way (off Union Street).

Money raised at the gift basket raffle and bake sale helps pay for Oneida Nation Elders Program trips and special events, like the annual Christmas dinner.

Vendor Fair aids MOMSnext

TOWN OF LEE — Rome’s MOMSnext holds a Vendor and Craft Sale and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Delta United Methodist Church, Hawkins Corners Road at Turin Road.

MOMSnext is a ministry to mothers of school-age kids. It is a new arm of MOPS International. A MOMSnext group is an open, accepting place for all mothers of school-age kids to come, just as they are, to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help and spiritual hope.
