Cartoon Madness, a festival of cartoons in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies series will run at Rome’s Capitol Theatre (220 W. Dominick St.) during February school break week.
The 12 Technicolor cartoons will feature such characters as Bugs Bunny, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat, The Road Runner, Yosemite Sam, Wile E. Coyote, and Michigan J. Frog. This year’s show will include a tribute to Pepé Le Pew.
The show will run each day Feb. 18-22 at 3 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 3 and 7 p.m. Among the cartoons shown will be "Past Perfumance", "Mutiny on the Bunny," "Feed the Kitty" and "8 Ball Bunny." They will be shown in 35mm prints on the Capitol’s 40-ft. wide screen.
Tickets available at the door are $3.50 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.
