UTICA — Spotlight | The Choreographers’ Showcase is accepting applications from individuals who are interested in participating in their second annual choreographers’ showcase.

This event is an opportunity for emerging and established dancers and choreographers to showcase their original dance works to Central New York.

Applications are online at www.spotlightcny.com and must be in by March 1. No entry fee required.

Performances will be on Saturday, April 27 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m. in the Jewish Community Center at 2310 Oneida St.

The first production of Spotlight | The Choreographers’ Showcase featured 11 choreographers from across New York State that were chosen to showcase their choreography in different dance styles such as contemporary, modern and hip hop.

This project is made possible with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of state taxpayers and administered by CNY Arts.
