Rome woman accused of stealing TV from Walmart
A 32-year-old woman is accused of stealing a 46-inch 3D television set from Wal-Mart on Rome-Taberg Road.
Sheriff’s deputies said Danielle C. Russitano, of Seneca Street, stole the large television and several other items from the store on Sept. 25, then she left Rome for some period of time. Deputies said Russitano returned to the area sometime around Nov. 28, when she appeared in Westmoreland Town Court on an unrelated charge.
Russitano showed up in court and deputies took her into custody for the TV theft, charging her with felony grand larceny, authorities said. She was released on an appearance ticket to Rome City Court in December.
The investigation is continuing, and deputies said they are still searching for an accomplice.
