We can’t trust president

The American people deserve the truth. President Obama’s most recent deception concerning the terrorist attack on our Libyan embassy came to light in a way that proves beyond all doubt that it was his intention to lie to us. For a week following the Sept. 11 attack, the president, his secretary of state, his press secretary and his United Nations representative all told the public that it was caused by a mob reaction to a video.

Americans immediately questioned the logic of that explanation. We later found out that the president and his administration knew within 24 hours of our ambassador’s murder that it was a terrorist attack.

The reason for the lie was to protect President Obama’s image in an election year. For that same reason, President Obama told Russian President Dmitry Medvedev during their discussion of future nuclear arms negotiations that," This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility." Translated that means when he does not have to answer to the American people anymore, he can give the Russians a better deal.

These statements sound much like the ones the president made during his 2008 campaign. The president was going to cut the federal deficit in half, but then recklessly spent money as if he never intended to do so, causing the federal deficit to go up an additional $5 trillion. He said Obamacare would save us money. Its cost is still going up, and many people are losing their health insurance. We cannot afford to trust the president anymore.
