Rome shuts out Utica Proctor

The Rome Free Academy junior varsity girls soccer team picked up a 4-0 shutout win over rival Proctor High in Utica on Tuesday.

The Rome goals were scored by Jamila Taylor, Anna Clark, Hannah Skibitski and Amber Lundrigan as Rome took 34 shots to the net. Kalei Krzemein added two assists, as Jen Tasco and Anna Clark chipped in a helper apiece. Goaltender Mariah Mays grabbed nine saves in net.

Rome oust visitors

In junior varsity boys soccer, RFA came up with a 2-0 win on Blessed Virgin Mary at the Stadium.

Eighth grader Tyler Schoff scored his first RFA goal off a helper by Phil Castronovo, and Dylan Furney knocked in the other goal on a Tyler Marschall assist. Goalkeeper Daygan Hughes recorded one save.

Bulldogs beat Old Forge

The Westmoreland modified boys soccer squad captured a 2-1 triumph over Old Forge to move its record to 4-1 on the season.
