Free music, fun Aug. 25

BARNEVELD — The area surrounding CenterPoint Christian Fellowship, 8021 State Route 12, will be resounding with music and fun on Saturday, Aug. 25 from noon to 8 p.m. The family fun day has music and food along with stories and games for children.

It’s free.

All proceeds from food sales and free will donations will be used to sponsor the Rev. Bill Mudge on his upcoming mission trip to Uganda. He will be training Ugandan pastors as well as working alongside them to minister, supply food, clothing and medical supplies.

Several local artists will be featured, providing a varied genre of music from Gospel to Country to a little bit of Rock ‘n Roll plus a bell choir.

One of the groups scheduled is Pickn ’EZ from the Utica area — Marte and Debbie with a variety of music and styles from the 50’s to today.

Pete Rose of Holland Patent will share his mix of Country and Gospel which includes many original songs.

"The Men (and women) from the Den" consists of musicians and singers who once comprised the House Band at "Daniel’s Den" - A coffee house outreach of the Clark Mills United Methodist Church.

Paula & Co. — the Praise & Worship Team From CenterPoint — will be opening and closing out the day with its eclectic style of music ranging from Country Gospel to Contemporary Christian Praise & Worship songs and a few favorite "sing-a-long" hymns. Chuck Premo is featured on lead guitar with Dan Loomis on bass, lead guitar and vocals. Tom Bailey is on drums and his wife Paula is on guitar and vocals.
